Atabai, a middle-aged architect, lives in his home village in Azerbaijan province. After a university career in Tehran beset by romantic failure and social prejudice, Atabai has built a life for himself among his loved ones. But he is haunted by the memories of his sister’s suicide and looks after her son and her orchard as a way of keeping her legacy alive.
Everything changes when two sisters arrive in the village and show an interest in the orchard, forcing Atabai to confront old anxieties and the prospect of falling in love again.
