Jim Hosking follows up his deliriously depraved The Greasy Strangler with a similarly deranged piece of bad-taste cinema. Robinson plays the eponymous Beverly Luff Linn, who arrives at a hotel in a small American town to perform the event that gives the film its title. But the real hero in Hosking’s strange world is Lulu Danger, played by the outstanding Aubrey Plaza, an actor entirely unafraid to go to the outer margins. Filthy, foul, and kind of wonderful.
The screening on Sun 28 Oct at 20:25 will have an introduction and a short post screening Q&A that has been pre-recorded with director Jim Hosking and co-writer David Wike.
