Aloys

Directed by Tobias Nölle

A lonely private investigator is contacted by a mysterious woman who pulls him into a mind game known as ‘telephone walking’ in Tobias Nölle’s arresting first feature. Fascinated by the woman’s voice, the detective discovers an imaginary universe that allows him to break out of his isolation. A FIPRESCI prize winner at Berlinale, this unsettling psychological drama has earned comparison to Michel Gondry and Charlie Kaufman for its construction of off-kilter characters in an off-kilter world.
