UK Premiere

Shot with a sun-drenched palette of bold primary colours, Paco R. Baños’ feature directorial debut is an engaging coming-of-age story of a rebellious Spanish young adult coping with her mother’s delicate mental health. Damaged by past experiences, the chain-smoking, 18-year-old supermarket worker Ali is terrified of driving, and terrified of falling in love; but will she finally dare to make her self vulnerable again?

Look out for Julián Villagrán in a supporting role, one of our favourites, who you might recognize from previous ¡Viva! appearances in Bajo las estrellas, Cabeza de perro, 7 vírgenes and Carlos contra el mundo.
