1917 – The Real October

1917 – The Real October is an animated retelling of the Russian Revolution from the point of view of artists Vladimir Mayakovsky, Alexandre Benoit, Zinaida Gippius, Maxim Gorky and Kazimir Malevitch. Based partially on previously unknown source material, diaries, reports, and literary works of her protagonists, writer/director Katrin Rothe undertakes a multi-perspective interrogation of what is nowadays known as the October Revolution.
