Deadline to apply: Friday 13 March

Have you been impacted by migration? Are you a film-maker exploring related subjects
on-screen? If so, we want to hear from you!

Horizons Festival 2026

Produced by HOME in partnership with Community Arts North West (CAN), Horizons is an annual multi-arts festival championing, empowering and honouring global majority voices, with a focus on those experiencing migration and displacement. The festival unites people across cultures for a creative celebration of community, solidarity and shared understanding – embodied by a vibrant programme of theatre, visual art, film, community and family events, panels, workshops and live music. For the 2026 edition, taking place June 12-13, Horizons is inviting people whose lives have been touched by migration to be part of the festival’s newly expanded film strand: We are accepting film-maker submissions for the Horizons Short Film Showcase; from these submissions, approximately 8-10 short films will be screened at HOME following a selection process led a panel with experience of migration.
