In their most recent work, Manchester-based artists Tenneson & Dale explore the link between the Houses of Parliament (the epitome of order), the minimalist movement (ordered, pure art) and various forms of public information signage (the physical manifestation of order). Order Order is a body of work which revives Ellsworth Kelly’s Red Yellow Blue1963. The ratio of red:yellow:blue in each painting is determined by government statistics, generated by the numbers of party political seats per alphabeticised area of the UK.
