MADE IT 2022: Annual North West Graduate Art Prize

Presented at HOME and across Manchester City Centre in collaboration with Jack Arts

HOME are proud to present Short Supply’s annual MADE IT exhibition, featuring work from over 200 new art graduates based in the North West.

MADE IT (est 2019), provides one of the first opportunities for graduating artists to exhibit their work, expand their network and begin their creative careers after leaving education.

The last 2 years have been hard on students and graduates; cancelled degree shows, zoom graduations, nationwide budget cuts – the future feels uncertain, and those just entering the creative industries don’t know who they can rely on. Short Supply want to empower local graduates with the knowledge that they can rely on each other.

All featured artists submitted their work for MADE IT 2022 through a public open call with one simple rule – everyone who submits is in. No selection, no rejection, every piece has been included at HOME in Granada Foundation Gallery 1 and on billboards across Manchester city centre.

MADE IT at HOME is a statement for a shift in mindset; one that makes space for artists to make space for each other. The future of the creative industries lies in community not competition, working together to make an art world we all feel proud of and part of, and it starts with getting everybody in a room and putting our heads together. Making the spaces we want to see.

MADE IT 2022 billboards in the city centre can be found at Deansgate Station, Tib Street and Church Street in the Northern Quarter from Mon 6 – Mon 20 Jun.
