Darren Nixon

Darren Nixon’s recent oil paintings are inhabited by figures trying to settle in landscapes without footholds. Nixon is a painter despite (or perhaps because of) his conviction that it doesn’t make sense to paint. He employs painting and its time-worn problems to look at the ways in which we find meaning in an image and collectively look at life and the questions it throws up. Nixon graduated and is based in Manchester and has exhibited widely in the city.

All the works in the exhibition will be for sale.
