Cornerhouse Projects: Full Stop

Cornerhouse is coming to an end; full stop. Yet a full stop denotes the end of a sentence, not necessarily the end of a conversation, and this conversation is far from over as we begin our transition to HOME. In the last ever Cornerhouse Project, we hand over our public exhibition spaces to our gallery invigilators, who know this building and its galleries inside out.

Our invigilators are Manchester-based artists and creatives, with disciplines ranging from painting, sculpture, photography, acting, illustration, video, sound and installation. In this work, they will be investigating the building from top to bottom, making site-specific pieces in underused spaces, lifting lids, documenting the mechanics of the everyday, and researching stories and urban myths from our 30 year history, using a perspective and knowledge that could only be acquired from behind-the-scenes access to present you with a new last look at this iconic building.

Join us for the informal launch of Full Stop in the Cornerhouse Bar from 17:30 – 19:00 on Thursday 19 February.
