Christopher Buckle photographs public spaces where young people congregate and socialise. Taken in their absence, the images focus on how young people use public spaces to create their own sense of place.Matt Velarde’s photographs are intuitive and relate to instinctive emotional perception. They are attempts to capture the notion of precognition, at the edge of recognition.Buckle and Verlarde are both recent graduates of BA Photography at Stockport College of Further & Higher Education. Cornerhouse Projects is an ongoing series of shows on exhibition in the Cornerhouse Café bar, 1st and 2nd floors, featuring work by emerging artists based in the North West.
