Our recent exhibitions on the subject of Taste included a series of successful events and activities across the Greater Manchester area from Taste Tabernacles to our caravan workshops. This exhibition provides an opportunity to view the results of these events and rounds off our series of exhibitions from last year. Funded by The New Audiences Fund through the Arts Council of England, sponsored by Manchester Airport and supported by the Granada Foundation.

Yes, but what does it MEAN?
Unravelling Contemporary Art with Deborah Riding. How often has contemporary art left you bewildered and bemused? How do we begin to understand artists who not only use new materials and methods but whose art is more about ideas than the visual world? Is there such a thing as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ art and how can we tell? Looking at the rise of Brit art, the role of painting and a whole host of other issues, this informal session sets out to find ways in which we can begin to look at contemporary art exhibitions and come to our own conclusions about what we see. Free Event organised as part of Museums & Galleries Month. Booking is essential, as places are limited.
