Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars Exclusive Interview Footage

This rock classic will be paired with a brand new, 30-minute Bowie documentary, including a highly exclusive interview with Woody Woodmansey and Q / MOJO editor Phil Alexander, giving insight into the 1973 Hammersmith night, filmed purely for this event by the team behind Q and MOJO magazine.

Film details

David Bowie at his glam-rock best. This 1973 documentary and concert film encapsulates the era of glam-rock – it is kitsch, colourful, over-the-top, flirts with gender and sexuality and reflects high living and excess.  It features David Bowie and his backing group The Spiders from Mars performing at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 3 July 1973, the show at which Bowie made the sudden surprise announcement that the show would be “the last show that we’ll ever do”, later understood to mean that he was retiring his Ziggy Stardust persona. The playlist includes classic Bowie tracks such as Changes, Space Oddity, Time and Suffragette City.

Every attendee to cinema will receive a souvenir copy of MOJO specially curated for this event dedicated to the life and times of Ziggy Stardust. With a Bowie / Spiders From Mars cover it will contain special features and replica artwork from the original 1973 programme. This souvenir issue will not be available in the shops and is set to be one of the rarest MOJO covers that MOJO have ever produced.

Please note: this film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
