How often has contemporary art left you bewildered and bemused? How do we begin to understand artists who not only use new materials and methods but whose art is more about ideas than the visual world? Is there such a thing as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ art and how can we tell? Looking at the rise of Brit art, the role of painting and a whole host of other issues, this informal session sets out to find ways in which we can begin to look at contemporary art exhibitions and come to our own conclusions about what we see.
