As part of Artranspennine08, this performance by Chris Clarke uses the contents of the Cornerhouse Gallery Bookshop to create a site-specific installation. Throughout the day, Clarke will wrap all of the books in brown paper, obscuring their titles and covers in order to create a walk-in sculptural environment. While the shop will (attempt to) function as normal, the materials inside gradually lose their individuality and are rendered indistinguishable.
