Terry Atkinson was a founding member of seminal artist group Art & Language, working with them until 1974. As well as exhibiting widely since then as a solo artist, he is highly respected as a writer, and is currently writing on the problematics of art teaching. He is Reader in the Rhetorics and Practices of Fine Art at The University of Leeds.
