Tuesday Talk: François Bucher

Bucher’s films, installations and texts investigate the moving image as it circulates in contemporary culture. He focuses on cinema and television highlighting their invisible politics. Bucher has initiated several projects and collaborations seeking to open alternative spaces for thought and intervention. Originally from Calí, Colombia, he now lives and works in Berlin.This ongoing series of talks by artists and other experts explores the driving forces within contemporary art and visual culture, by focusing on what has influenced and inspired each invited speaker. The series is a collaboration between Pavel Büchler, Manchester Metropolitan University and Cornerhouse. Tickets are £2.00 per talk, and are free to students with current MMU ID cards.
