The University of Salford presents a showcase of work from two of its most prestigious programmes: MA Television Documentary Production and MA Fiction Film Production.
Whilst the Fiction programme is in relative infancy the Documentary programme is entering its 14th year and it is fair to say that both programmes play a major role in nurturing filmmaking talent within the North West. This year’s selection includes CHASING LOSSES, a candid look at the lives of problem gamblers, MY NEIGHBOUR THE GIANT BOAT, the story of an Indonesian village’s conflict with a boat brought by the tsunami and PORTRAITS OF JADE, an artist’s attempt to realise his most intimate relationship through his canvas.
