At Lecture Theatre One, Geoffrey Manton Building, Manchester Metropolitan University.In this illustrated talk, Schneemann will discuss her work through the past four decades, offering insight into her early performances and her experience at the forefront of feminist art practice in the early 60’s. Famous for her transgressive performances which challenged taboos around the body and sexuality, Schneemann has continued to investigate these ideas through film, installation and multi-media presentations.
