Come and get a taste of what’s happening in the minds of the city’s creatives, as we bring artists, designers, makers and creatives of all fields to talk about their practice, projects or sources of inspiration in five minutes flat.
Speakers include
- Animation filmmakers duo Sois de Traca (María Álvarez and Elisa Morais) who sometimes also double as creative technologists will talk about one of their ongoing R&D projects where they will try to get as close as it gets to perform live animation.
- Amy Voris, a dance-maker based in Manchester. Her practice is process-oriented and collaborative, driven by the desire to develop relationships with people and with movement material over long stretches of time. Amy will discuss her current collaborations and solo dance-making practice.
- Sketchbook artist Mary Burke, who will talk about how she came to discover her creative practice and its evolution.
- Musician, producer and visual artist Javier G Wallis who will talk about the creative process behind his experimental project Wilderness Hymnal.
