Shooting Down the Image: Art & Photography

Recommended for AS / A2 level students of Art & Design and History of Art.

Capacity: 30 places.

 

This half day session will address issues in contemporary photography with a view to developing skills of interpretation and understanding in relation to photographic practice. Aimed at AS/A2 level Art & Design and History of Art students the session will introduce key contemporary photographic artists and the context and debates that their work emerges from. Candidates will develop a range of skills to enhance their ability to discuss and engage with fine art photography. Using the exhibition Do Not Refreeze candidates will also be able to put this learning into practice through direct contact with photographic work.

The session will be broken into a lecture and exhibition visit.
