PUSH LAB – World Factory Game

Made in China. Sold in Britain. Worn by you. From the factory floor to the catwalk, World Factory weaves together stories of people connected by the global textile industry.

Join us for a game on 24 January at 6pm where you’ll meet other artists, debate ethics and have a great time in the process.

Riffing on our awareness of mass production and vulture capitalism, you are invited to take your seat and play a provocative game – where you and your six team-mates run a clothing factory in China. Which card will you draw? Will you be an ethical factory owner or will profits always come first? In the rag trade, can anyone ever really win?

You’ll have a chance to see some footage of the full show and ask questions about it.

The game itself will last around an hour, with an hour for questions and discussion.

The complete session will last approx. 2 hours.

Please note: this is not the show performed in 2016, it is the game only.

Update 9 December 2021

Due to the announcement regarding covid regulations on 8 December, currently all the events in PUSH LAB have a limited capacity to allow for social distancing to take place. If the guidelines change the capacity will be increased.

Duration:
2 hours

Tickets are available as ‘Pay What You Can’ – the suggested price for this event is £5 – but there are a range of ticket prices so you can choose what you can afford from the options, including £0 as we want as many people as possible to access our Homemakers commissions.

Any money made from sales through PUSH LAB will go directly back towards future Talent Development opportunities.
