Producers Toolkit – The Art of Producing

HOME in partnership with Farnham Maltings

This workshop is a first in a series of Producer Toolkit Workshops

The Art of Producing – AIntroduction with Producer Laura Woodward

We will start by exploring what a producer is and what they do and move on to the foundations of producing any creative project – the why, whos, what, where and hows. We will cover strategic thinking, looking at aims, ambitions, USPs, audiences and project planning, partnership building, activity timelines and budgets. Participants will have the chance to ask questions, share experiences with each other and gain some practical tips.

What we will not have to time to cover: how to tour/tour booking, marketing, how to set up a company or detailed ACE/fundraising.

The session is being ran from a subsidised theatre sector viewpoint yet some of this session will be transferrable to different contexts.

This is suitable for Self-producing artists and producers

Tickets are available as ‘Pay What You Can’ – the suggested price for this event is £2.50 – but there are a range of ticket prices so you can choose what you can afford from the options, including £0 as we want you to be able to access these workshops.
