Join us for the preview of Imitation of Life, our new group exhibition that looks at the performance of racial politics in an evolving, digital world. Oral histories and verbatim storytelling drawn from theatre and cinema, painting and sculpture, all confront the fluid, changing politics of representation and race.
Following the exhibition launch we’ll be celebrating on Level 2 in our Event Space with a live DJ set by Claud Cunningham. Claud is the creator and promoter of Black Angel, a culturally diverse black and minority ethnic lesbian (and their friends) club night playing Bhangra, RnB, funk, soul and old school; the first night of its kind outside of London based in Manchester with events across the UK.
