Playreading: Fleabag by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

This is a rip-roaring account of Fleabag, a twenty-something female struggling with being a woman today. Fleabag is an anti-heroine, a refreshingly unique example of today’s modern woman. This is the portrait of a girl who isn’t afraid to admit what she thinks is wrong with her. It’s like meeting a friend for an up-close and personal chat. This is comedy storytelling at its very best with all the unspoken nitty-gritty of real life.

After receiving critical and audience acclaim at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival and London’s Soho Theatre, Fleabag was adapted for television and is currently receiving rave reviews for the BBC 3 series.

This session is open to all and offers an opportunity to read and discuss the play. Sessions are fun, friendly and informal and new members are always welcome.
