Artist Emmer Winder will lead an introductory tour of the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2009 exhibition, exploring current contemporary art practices in the work of emerging artists with a focus on selected artists Kristel Raessar and Christopher Thomas.
Students will be taken to a city centre location to create and photograph a performance based on a chosen contemporary event or issue. They will be given the opportunity to edit the images into a short film, analysing the use of perspective and judgement from one singular action.
This workshop is particularly relevant for the following A Level endorsements: Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Three-Dimensional Design and Photography.

All students attending the Photography and Performance and Celebration in Word and Image workshops will be encouraged to share their experiences, observations and work produced on a blog. Students will have the opportunity to nurture the site by logging books, exhibitions and artworks of interest, and in turn create an ideas-based resource for other art students to benefit from and enjoy.
