One hour Intro: Ideology and American Cinema

In this illustrated One Hour Intro, Dr Nigel Woodcock will discuss the role of ideology in political films, concentrating particularly on the recent polemical movies AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH and WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR? Further examples will be drawn from a wide range of contemporary American cinema including documentaries and feature films such as Mel Gibson’s THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST.
