This introduction to contemporary art made by Latin American artists will present the multiple identities, situations and migrations influencing its particular visual qualities and production, as well as considering the strong influence and re-influence artists of the Diaspora have had on it.
The introduction will be given by Humberto Veléz, a Panama-born artist based in Manchester. Veléz’s work has been shown in the Shanghai Biennale and will be included in the 2007 Liverpool Biennale
