Like beer? Like cake? Then why not come down to our first tasting event in collaboration with the lovely Manchester Cake Club.
Sponsored by Dunham Massey Brewing Company we have 5 different beers that have been carefully matched to scrumptious cakes baked by our very own patisserie chefs. After much deliberation, beer drinking and cake tasting we have decided on our five favourite pairs:
Obelisk – light and hoppy, but not too bitter, with hints of citrus coupled with Lemon Meringue Pie.
Deer Beer – a clean full bodied, malty English ale and hints of toffee with Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Dunham Gold – a Belgian style English ale. Strong, light and fruity complemented by a Classic Fruit Tart.
Chocolate Cherry – a dark mild beer with hints of cherry with Black Forest Gateau.
And our final choice is our favourite, the cake really brings out the depth of flavours in this multi-award winning stout…
Milk Stout – a full bodied, creamy stout with a roast malt character matched perfectly with Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart.
Enjoy a sample of each before choosing your favourite combination – you may even want to mix it up a bit and create your own perfect pairing.
Each ticket includes samples of all the beers on offer, a full bottle of your chosen tipple and plenty of cake, so loosen your belts and come and join in the foodie fun.
