Starts Tue 13 Jan, 8 weeks, 6.30 – 8.30pmThis course starts with the renovation in the 60s in Spanish Cinema (Nuevo Cine Español) which can be compared to the British Free Cinema and Nouvelle Vague with directors such as Iván Zulueta, Basilo Martín Patino, Mario Camus and Carlos Saura. After a consideration of the recently re-issued SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE (Víctor Erice), the course moves on to the directors of the 1990s such as Julio Medem, Alejandro Amenábar, Benito Zambrano and Achero Mañas.
