Approx running time: 1hr 50mTo celebrate the opening of the Imperial War Museum North, Cornerhouse is pleased to host this special illustrated talk by Dr. Toby Haggith, Film Programmer and Public Services Officer of the Film and Video Archive of the Imperial War Museum in London. The IWM film archive is the oldest in England and perhaps the world. Its collection includes footage from across the years, both from the battlefield and on the homefront. Toby Haggith will screen and discuss a number of films about the local involvement in war in what promises to be an engaging and informative evening. Titles include filmic letter from the boys CALLING BLIGHTY and Blitz doc MANCHESTER TOOK IT TOO. A full list of films to be screened will be available on the night.Normal cinema ticket prices apply.
