Manchester-based artist, IORA, makes alternative electronica. IORA’s music started with her passion for singing, storytelling and connecting to audiences.

As a Roundhouse Resident Artist alumnus, IORA has big plans for 2021 and has kept herself busy over lockdown. This included performing the closing song for Headstock’s show on United We Stream in memory of Ian Curtis.  The show was to raise money for Mental Health Charity ‘Mind’, performing with the untold Orchestra and the northern session Choir. IORA has also done live streams for Liverpool Sound City, BBC Introducing Manchester, and the Roundhouse ‘Rising’ festival hosted by Moses Boyd.  IORA most recent collaboration received support from Radio 1’s BBC Introducing with Gemma Bradley and the Chillest Show with Sian Eleri.  She was also played on the BBC Introducing North West for the  Live Lounge Special. IORA has been working with a new independent Record label, No Such Thing.

Her EP ‘eYes Of a bEAst’ was released in February 2020 supported by the PRS Women Make Music Fund and in the past by the PRS Emerging Artist Fund. IORA has had notable performances, including playing sold-out shows, supporting Badly Drawn Boy at the Roundhouse.
