Investigating Murder: An Evening with Ian Rankin plus special guests

Investigating Murder

Bestselling author Ian Rankin regularly consults with the police and draws inspiration from real life cases. In this unique event Ian will discuss his new John Rebus thriller, In a House of Lies, and explore the boundaries between fact and fiction.

Ian will be joined by anatomist and forensic anthropologist Prof Dame Sue Black, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Lancaster. Dame Sue is the author of All that Remains – “a fascinating look at death and the forensic scientist’s way of analysing it” – Kathy Reichs. He will also be joined by former police officer turned author Clare Mackintosh, whose latest novel Let Me Lie is a Sunday Times Bestseller.

This is a rare opportunity to look behind the scenes with one of the world’s leading crime writers and discover what really happens in a murder investigation.

Ian, Sue and Clare will be signing copies of their books after the event.
