As part of September’s North West Archives Festival, the North West Film Archive at Manchester Metropolitan University has arranged a special public screening in collaboration with the National Film & Television Archive and the National Fairground Archive. Dr Vanessa Toulmin will introduce the Mitchell & Kenyon project – an amazing collection of local films for local people, shot around the country in the early 1900s by this Blackburn company. In addition to the Mitchell & Kenyon films, a selection of gems from the NWFA and NFTVA collections will also be presented, featuring national and regional treasures from the vaults.
