Screening: My Life as a Courgette (PG)
Dir Claude Barras/France/Switzerland 2016
66mins/French with English Subtitles
Gaspard Schlatter/Sixtine Murat/Paulin Jaccoud
After a tragic accident, Courgette (a 9-year-old boy) is sent to a foster home filled with other orphans his age. At first, he struggles to find his place in this strange and hostile environment but soon he learns to trust again. In spite of its juvenile appearance, My Life as a Courgette is a mature story that deals with the complicated issues of growing up in a sensitive, thought-provoking and humorous way.
