This twilight INSET session will explore the role of shorts and feature films as an essential tool for ESOL teachers.
Focusing on examples drawn from contemporary British cinema, such as BRICK LANE, THE QUEEN, LOVE + HATE and ALMOST ADULT, Rachel Hayward will provide teachers with themed ideas for film-based exercises and lesson plans as well as a ‘How to Read a Film’ guide for teachers who may be using film in the classroom for the first time.

A resource pack will be provided for all teachers.
