In this full-day INSET session, Clive Edwards will provide Media teachers with the essentials for teaching ‘The Music Press’. The session will include a brief history of the music press, an analysis of current trends and developments, an evaluation of the future of music journalism and its place as a topic in ‘media studies’. Clive Edwards will introduce theories that can be used by students and analysis will be based on a range of artifacts, including web-based journalism. Teachers will also have the opportunity to discuss and develop practical ideas and ideas for schemes of work and lessons.
