Philip Hoare, biographer of Noel Coward, author of Wilde’s Last Stand and Co-curator of the touring exhibition Icons of Pop, was also an early punk propagandist, publishing Linder Sterling’s graphics in the fanzine Elemental in the late 70’s. This ‘In conversation’ will be an opportunity to discuss Linder Sterling’s roots in punk and its legacy for her current work in The Return of Linderland. Touching on ideas around social dissension, the artist as performer and the influence of pop culture in Sterling’s work, this event will act as a forum for debate with opportunities for questions from the audience.
