Artist Gregor Neuerer talks about what inspires and influences his practice.
Gregor Neuerer´s work with existing architectural settings and realities is based on his understanding of the built environment as a media, similar to a photograph or film. In this sense a building is not only seen as a structure that directs and controls but also as a platform that makes our understanding of a place visible. Photography and drawing are hereby used as mediums which explore site-related conditions and at the same time construct new and fictive understandings of place.
