In the first of our Urdu language sessions, Dr Shakoor will introduce the stars, themes and diverse styles of Pakistani cinema. Using a wide-ranging selection of clips from classic and contemporary Urdu language films, students will learn about Pakistani history and contemporary culture whilst having the opportunity to develop their linguistic skills through discussions and exercises in Urdu.
Please note that some of the clips used during this session will not have English subtitles.
