Led by Maggie Hoffgen, Freelance Film Lecturer, this course analyses cinematography, focusing on the effects and the meaning created by the choices a cinematographer makes for any particular film. The course looks at various elements of the still and moving image, as well as questioning what makes great cinematography or a great cinematographer.
Intermediate level – builds upon knowledge gained in the Essential Introduction to Film Studies course.
