Fleabag Q&A

A screening of the first episode of hit TV show Fleabag, and a Q&A with creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Phoebe will be joined by Vicky Jones, script editor on Fleabag and director of the Olivier-nominated stage version and Tim Price, lecturer in screenwriting for the Centre for New Writing at Manchester University.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge
Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been called ‘the British Lena Dunham’ (the Guardian, New York Times). She has written and starred in Fleabag (BBC 3) and Crashing (Ch4) as well as acting in numerous roles for theatre. With five star reviews in the UK and America, Phoebe is now one of British comedy’s most in-demand stars.

Vicky Jones
Vicky is Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of DryWrite with Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Other collaborations with Phoebe include working as script editor on Fleabag (for TV) (BBC) and Crashing (Channel 4). She is writing two episodes for upcoming TV show, Killing Eve with Sid Gentle, BBCA and AMC, which Phoebe is showrunning. They are also under commission as writers with Film4.

As a Theatre Director, Vicky’s credits include Mydidae (By Jack Thorne, Trafalgar Studios/ Soho Theatre); Fleabag (original 2013 Edinburgh Production, Soho Theatre Transfer and National Tour) and The Tour Guide (By James Graham, Edinburgh Festival 2011). The One, Vicky’s first play as a writer, premiered at London’s Soho Theatre in 2014 and won the Verity Bargate Award. Vicky is currently under commission as a writer in the UK with the National Theatre and for several TV companies including the BBC, Entertainment One, Roughcut, Red Planet, Sid Gentle, Company Pictures and Leopard Drama. She has co-written a one-off drama with Stephen Merchant for the BBC.
Her new play Touch, is programmed for July 2017 at the Soho Theatre, which she will also direct.
