Fellowship Award/ Aardman

1976 was a splendid year for British animation. GREAT won the UK a first academy award for an animated short film, Cosgrove Hall began work here in Manchester and down in Bristol two school friends returned home from university and decided to take their passion for animation seriously.

Peter Lord and David Sproxton had animating for fun in 1972 working from the kitchen table but 1976 was the year it all started with Morph.

40 years on from that initial strip of film, the people who began the company join us for a special retrospective event, a walk down memory lane.
