To celebrate the UK premiere of El Mundo es nuestro at ¡Viva! 2013 we are pleased to welcome writer, director, producer and actor Alfonso Sánchez along with his co-star and fellow sevillano Alberto López.

Alfonso Sánchez was born in Seville in 1978, and moved to Malaga to study drama at the age of 18. He later returned to his native city where he has since divided his time between acting on stage and screen, and writing and directing his own works. He is also a co-founder of the film production company Mundoficción Producciones. He names Paul Shrader, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Tim Burton, Sergio Leone, and Quentin Tarantino, amongst the directors who have inspired him.

This is the debut feature from Sánchez, who has made a name for himself in Spanish television and theatre over the last decade. His performance in El Mundo es nuestro won him the Zonacine Best Actor award at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival in 2012.
