Creative Spaces Workshop with Chad Taylor

As part of our Homemakers Programme we are delighted to be able to offer a series of online workshops from our contributing artists and companies.

Are you a dancer? theatre maker? Or just want to explore the use of space in your creative process?

Join Manchester based dancer and choreographer Chad Taylor for an exploration into creative spaces.

This workshop will look at the creative process around the use of space in unusual performance spaces. As the workshop will be online, you will start by finding an interesting space in the location you are all individually in. You will then independently and as a group go and explore the area in which you have choose, look at different ways you could create in the space.

Chad will provoke questions and tasks for everyone taking part in the workshop. This will involve how you start to develop a narrative, build a character, use props in a space, what does the prop mean in the space.

During this workshop Chad will be relating to his piece ‘Lost Online’ and what his creative process was and how it might help when looking at your creative process.

Lost Online is available to view ‘pay what you can’ including £0 option, we suggest that you watch this film before attending this workshop.
