Creative Careers Week – Introduction to Theatre

Open to Year 10’s and led by industry professionals, this practical workshop will be an introduction to theatre production.

What to expect

Morning session: Participants will spend time exploring the various roles and responsibilities of what it takes to put a professional theatre production together. Participants will choose one of the following:

  • On stage Workshop – This workshop will be designed for those who like performance, lead by a professional theatre practitioner, the group will devise a short performance to be shown in one of HOME’s fabulous Theatre spaces by the end of their workshop
  • Off Stage Workshop – For those interested in what happens off stage, this workshop will be led by HOME’s very own technical team, where participants will explore all the technical elements to putting a show together and put their skills in to action!

Afternoon session: Participants will create their very own short piece of theatre.
