City on Screen 2011

Following the success of last year’s events, City on Screen returns for a second season to celebrate the rich cultural history of Manchester and Salford. This year’s offerings include two anniversaries and the return of a perennial favourite.  We’re bringing back The Hollywood of the North Coach Trip which will round off its tour of our region’s rich film history with a screening of Boots! Boots!  We’ll also be screening A Taste of Honey, marking the 50th anniversary of this award winning film. The University of Salford’s film historian CP Lee will be introducing the programme, which is a joint collaboration between the University and Cornerhouse.
