Cinerama!  DIY film challenge screening and event (15)

Budding Northern filmmaker aged 16-25? Want to meet new collaborators, gain industry insights, and watch some cracking shorts? Pop along to Cinerama! – a bumper session of film-related fun.

We’ll kick things off with a selection of shorts on the big screen, including the winning entries from each of our DIY film challenges, and a bunch of other low-budget films from across the North. We’ll then hear from an industry panel full of Northern film talent, before rounding off the afternoon with some free soft drinks in the first-floor bar – the perfect opportunity to chat with like-minded filmmakers, film fans and industry guests.

Guests include:

Filmmaking duo Mo & Steph (Mo Bayliss & Steph Leigh), Writer Director Funke Alafiatayo and founder of Highlight Collective Yandass Ndlovu who will share their journey and experience of filmmaking so far and be at hand to answer all your burning questions.

The film screening and Q&A will take place 11:30 – 13:00, with networking on our first floor bar afterwards (soft drinks provided)

We have a number of measures in place at HOME for the comfort and safety of our visitors. Find out more here.
