Cheddar Gorgeous and Kate O’Donnell: A Performance Dialogue on Drag and Trans

A conversation between drag artist Cheddar Gorgeous and TransCreative founder Kate O’Donnell to close the Sexuality Summer School 2019 which this year explored the theme of Queer Dialogues.

Kate and Cheddar will discuss what drag and trans have meant to them artistically, historically and personally. Taking a series of ‘categories’ as their starting point, they will talk about their respective artistic work in Manchester and beyond.

This event will bring together two prominent names in the Manchester queer arts scene: Cheddar Gorgeous, of the Manchester Drag House the Family Gorgeous, a resident at the Islington Mill arts hub in Salford and a recipient of funding to develop alternative arts in Greater Manchester; and Kate O’Donnell, the artistic director of Transcreative, the UK’s first transgender-led theatre company, and creator of the one-woman musical show You’ve Changed (2017).
