Pilkington Chair of Art History at Manchester University, Professor Amelia Jones is internationally known as an author who has published a number of titles that explore practises and tendencies within Modernism and contemporary art. Irrational Modernism explores the history of New York Dada through the lens of the life of Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, a contemporary of Duchamp, Man Ray and Picabia who ‘Lived’ Dada.
